Showing there is still plenty of mileage left in the franchise, Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa [JCKA4] grossed an estimated $32.0 millionin to win the weekend box office. The audience has grown up along with the series as the attendance was 63% over the age of 25 as oppsed to 33% for the previous installment Jackass 3D.
After three weeks at the top, Gravity finally came down to second at $20.3 million. The 3D space thriller advance is total to $199.8 million.
Captain Phillips [CDUTY] finished third with $11.8 million in its third outing, bringing its total to $70.1 million.
The Counselor [CNSLR] tallied just $8.0 million debut at the fourth spot. The crime drama skewed older adults as 85% were over the age of 25. Poor word of mouth will kill any chance of legs.
Carrie [CARIE] tumbled 63% in its sophomore session to $5.9 millon, while Escape Plan [ESCPL] dropped 56% to $4.3 million.
