Topping the weekend box office with an estimated $100 million, Transformers: Age of Extinction [TFRM4] scored the highest debut of 2014. THe fourth film in the sci-fi franchise introduced a new human cast lead by Mark Wahlberg alongside the robots in disguise. The audience skewed males at 64%.
22 Jump Street [21JS2] remained in second place with $15.4 million in its third weekend. The comedy sequel has secured $139.8 million.
How to Train Your Dragon 2 [HTYD2] grossed $13.1 million to finish third, bringing its total to $121.8 milion.
Last weekend's top film Think Like A Man Too [TLAM2] dropped to fourth with $10.4 million, off 64% from its debut. The comedy sequel has earned $48.2 million.
At the sixth spot, Jersey Boys [JBOYS] declined 43% in its second weekend to $7.6 million.
