Disney scored another massive victory at the weekend box office as The Jungle Book scored an estimated $103.6 million, the second best April opening of all time behind Furious 7's $147.2 million last year. The film appealed to a broad demographics on excellent word of mouth.
Barbershop: The Next Cut [BSHO3] debuted in second place with $20.2 million, short of the previous installment. The sequel attraction an audience that was 66% over the age of 25 and 56% female.
The Boss [MDARN] dropped 57% in its second weekend to $10.2 million and third place. The comedy stands at $40.4 million.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice [SUPE2] added another $9.0 million to bring its total to $311.3 million.
Criminal [CRIMN] bombed with a sixth place opening of $5.9 million.
Fan [FAN] debuted in the top 12 with $1.4 million from 285 theaters.
