Although the DC supervillains team-up tumbled 67% in its second weekend, Suicide Squad [SUICD] remained atop of the weekend box office with an estimated $43.8 million and $222.9 millionin total.
Sausage Party [SAUSG] debuted in second place with a better than expected $33.6 million. The R-rated animated comedy drew 57% male while evenly split between the over/under 25 age groups.
Pete's Dragon [PDRGN] opened at the third spot with $21.5 million. Families made up 66% of the audience, which was 53% women and 54% under 25.
Jason Bourne [BORN5] finished fourth with $13.6 million to bring its total to $126.8 million.
Bad Moms [BMOMS] rounded out the top 5 with $11.5 million to avance its sum to $71.5 million.
Florence Foster Jenkins [FLORN] earned $6.6 million to debut at number 8. The biopic skewed 61% female and 97% over the age of 25.
