Despite the lowest opening weekend in the eight-film Saw franchise history, Jigsaw [SAW8] still open in first place with $16.3 million. The horror film attracted an audience that was 57% male and 60% over the age of 25.
Last weekend's champ, Boo 2! A Madea Halloween [BOAM2] slipped to second with $10.0 million, down 53% from its debut. The comedy sequel has banked $35.5 million.
Geostorm [GEOST] tumbled 59% in its second weekend to $5.7 million and third place.
Happy Death Day [HTDTH] finished fourth at $5.1 million, bringing its total to $48.4 million.
Blade Runner 2049 [BLAD2] rounded out the top five with $4.0 million and $81.4 million after four weekends.
Thank You for Your Service [TYFYS] debuted at sixth with $3.7 million. The military drama skewed 57% male and 74% over the age of 25.
Suburbicon [SUBCN] bombed with just $2.7 million for the ninth spot.
