Universal topped the weekend box office again this time wiith Night School [NTSCH] scoring an estimated $28.0 million. The comedy attracted an audience that was evenly split between the sexes but 59% over the age of 25.
Smallfoot [SMLFT] debuted in second place with $23.0 million. The animated film drew 55% female and 52% over the age of 25.
The House with a Clock in its Walls [THWCW] was dethroned to third place at $12.5 million. The family film dropped 53% in its second weekend to bring its total to $44.8 million.
A Simple Favor [ASFAV] finished fourth with $6.6 million and $43.1 million after three weekends.
The Nun [THNUN] rounded out the top five with $5.4 million, bringing its total to $109.0 million.
Hell Fest [HELFS] opened with just $5.1 million for the sixth spot. The crowd for the horror film was 53% female and 51% under 25.
Opening in 643 theaters, Little Women [LITWM] made just $0.75 million.
