The reopening of theaters in Southern California provided a bigger boost to the box office than expected. As the weekend’s only new wide release, Nobody [NOBOD] hopes to take advantage of eager moviegoers. The R-rated actioner stars Bob Odenkirk, best known for leading the TV series “Better Call Saul”. Older men are the target audience for the Universal film marketed as Saul Goodman becoming Jon Wick. Booked in 2460 theaters, Nobody could punch out $5.0 million.
Raya and the Last Dragon [RAYAD] fourth weekend to $4.0 million, which may be enough for first place if Nobody underperforms.
The Courier [IRNBK] could hold 80% of its debut for a sophomore session at $1.5 million.
Chaos Walking [CHAOW] looks to finish its fourth weekend with around $1.2 million.
That’s the whisper from the virtual trading floor.
