First trailer for Emancipation

Apple Original Films has released the teaser trailer for the Civil War drama Emancipation [EMNCP].  Will Smith stars in the true story of Peter, an enslaved man who escaped from a plantation in Lousiana who escaped to an Union encapement in Baton Rouge, 1863.  The photo of his scarred back from a medical examination shocked the North with visual proof of the brutality of slavery.  Directed by Antoine Fuqua, Emancipation opens in theaters on December 2nd before streaming on AppleTV+ on December 9th.
