Elemental [ELMNT] finished second with $18.463 million. The Pixar film slipped 38% in its second weekend to bring its total to $65.51 million.
Last weekend’s champ, The Flash [FLASH] tumbled 72% from its debut to $15.256 million. The superhero film has earned $87.644 million in 10 days.
No Hard Feelings [NHFEL] opened at the fourth spot with $15.1 million. The raunchy comedy appealed to an audience that was 51% female, with 64% between the ages of 18 and 34.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts [TFRM7] took in $11.6 million in its third weekend to advance its total to $122.95 million.
Expanding wide to 1675 theaters, Asteroid City [ASTRC] grossed $9.0 million. The Wes Anderson film stands at $10.215 million.
The Little Mermaid [TLMER.BW] earned another $8.674 million for a fifth weekend tally of $270.24 million.
The Blackening [BLCKN] declined 50% in its second weekend to $3.025 million. The horror film has totaled $12.27 million.
The Boogeyman [NTERR] brought in $2.541 million for a sum of $37.71 million after 4 weekends.
