The Beekeeper [BEKPR] remained in second at $8.48 million, down 49% from its debut. The total sits at $31.14 million.
Third place belonged to Wonka [WONKA.BW] playing in its sixth weekend. $6.44 million advanced the sum to $187.17 million.
The weekend’ sole new wide release, I.S.S. [ISS] opened in seventh place with $3.02 million. The sci-fi film appealed to an audience that was 69% males, with 47% between the ages 18-34.
Night Swim [NTSWM] grossed $2.70 million in its third weekend, bringing its total to $23.75 million.
The Boys in the Boat [TBITB] took home another $2.53 million in its fourth outing for a running tally at $43.86 million.
Debuting in 387 IMAX theaters, Queen Rock Montreal [QROCM] grossed $2.00 million.
Expanding wide to 850 theaters, American Fiction [ERASU] collected $1.80 million. The drama has booked $8.00 million thus far.
The Book of Clarence [TBOCL] dropped 57% in its second weekend to $1.10 million and $4.67 million ovderall.
The Color Purple [TCPRP] grossed another $720K to bring its total to $59.28 million after 4 weekends.
