I agree, most of the time, I will play the double bet and long the call and short the put or vice versa. However, sometimes, I honestly do
not have a read on how a movie will open, in which case I'll go double long, especially if tracking is wildly spread. It isn't a zero-sum game, though (or, it isn't always). For instance, double longing your H$20 movie, if it makes 30 OW, then your long call pays off at +H$8 while your long short pays off at -H$2, so you've still netted H$6.
