So, it's all in the programming (code). HSX programmed it so that once you click on Classic Cash it first determines whether or not you have already played this game today.
Then, for each of the 7 different 'slots' you see (e.g., position of each movie poster in order from left to right = 1 to 7) the game randomly selects from a larger yet limited pool of movie posters and then for each subsequent 'slot' (e.g., 2 through 7) it checks to make sure there are no duplicates displayed.
After that, which of the two options below does HSX use?
1) The game picks a number from 1 to 7. If the number picked is 4 and you choose the poster in the middle then you win! (FYI: This is what I think happens, meaning, that there is a pre-selected winning poster which would support my request to have this displayed afterwards, just as the correct answers are displayed in the other HSX games, whether or not you answered those correctly).
- OR -
2) It's as MattW suggests, where the pictures of movie posters have no real bearing on the game whatsover (aside of any possible aesthetic effect) and then once you click any poster, regardless of choice, it then is like the random 7-sided dice as described, which would mean nothing further by HSX can be done at this point.
In any case, as I stated in the title of this message, I do happen to know for a fact that the same movie poster is not guaranteed a win by everyone who happens to pick that same one on a particular day.Ā
