Question for the Top 1000

My portfolio took some bad hits in February and March (I was at 1.3m at one point). Since then I've brought it up to 6.1m. I think I have some good techniques for generating profits. Is it likely that the Top 1000 are doing what I'm doing except they can go long/short on the max # of shares where I'm only going 10k or 5k? I don't mind grinding it out to get to that point, just want to make sure I'm on the right track.

Also, what's the policy on touting - I think [500DS] is gonna get shelled this weekend. It's only opening in a handful of cities and is trading at 15.38 - it'd have to make over $5m this weekend to exceed that.
