Why make a delist estimate on a stock that hasn't even reported an actual opening weekend #, let alone adjusted?

Haven't we learned anything from Nikki Finke about premature estimations?

Ok, for those who were snarky before, here's a delist estimate *plus math* for RSAPE... (My SMURF math will be up soon) accountant_4_Jesus Aug 06, 03:09

Apologies for the bad formatting. {nm} accountant_4_Jesus Aug 06, 03:14

Why make a delist estimate on a stock that hasn't even reported an actual opening weekend #, let alone adjusted? TheWeekendWarrior Aug 06, 03:15

Because I thought it would be a fun challenge for me. Why, is there something in the rules that states I can't? {nm} accountant_4_Jesus Aug 06, 03:21

Nope, I just don't see the point of it when Nikki's Friday estimate and projection isn't even final yet. {nm} TheWeekendWarrior Aug 06, 03:42

That was actually the point. I was doing it to see how accurate I could be in delist estimates from estimated OW figures. Time will tell now {nm} accountant_4_Jesus Aug 06, 04:04

Interesting. Hope you're right! {nm} dr_hmcd Aug 06, 04:30

It's not snark. There are good reasons why math is required for delist and starbond estimates {nm} RogerMore Aug 06, 05:16

And at the time I couldn't post the math because I was on my phone, not my computer. I will post my SMURF math when I can. {nm} accountant_4_Jesus Aug 06, 05:22

If you post without math you run the risk of having your post deleted and being accused of manipulating. {nm} RogerMore Aug 06, 05:44

See my reply to BionicMoron. I also weighed that issue up, but as I said, I thought I would've had a chance to post my math soon afterwards. {nm} accountant_4_Jesus Aug 06, 06:32

What post the delist estimate at all then? {nm} BionicMoron Aug 06, 06:14

Because I thought that I was going to have the opportunity to post the math soon afterwards on my PC, but it turned out not to be the case. {nm} accountant_4_Jesus Aug 06, 06:30

The snark part must've been the insistence on re-phrasing estimate to guess, although the two are not the same. Facto Aug 06, 06:23

Yes, you're right about the snark part. I will post my math tomorrow morning when I can get onto my PC. {nm} accountant_4_Jesus Aug 06, 06:35

I guess I am confused Dvdtalk_gcribbs Aug 06, 08:50
