So Who Saw What Last Week? (me - The Trip: B, Cherry (2010): C+, Drive: D)

The Trip: Lots of charm and heart. I hate to give it only a B, but lots of the humor references as well as the personal history of the 2 leads was lost on me. (I'd never even heard of Rob Brydon before this) Def. makes me want to check out their other work, so maybe when I revisit this film it will get closer to the A I think it is.

Cherry: typical quirky indie comedy. cast was decent, story a bit hinky.

Drive: Was so excited for this, only had seen one Refn film, Valhalla Rising, which I loved ("the movie where nothing happens" review from one beloved poster here still cracks me up) And I loved 90% of this film. But there is a fine line between luminous and ludicrous, and its the 10% that is the latter that sunk this film for me. But I'll give it a second chance. Take a chance yourself, but know theres a chance you will hate it!
