Many films never get made for a variety of reasons. Over the years there have been numerous films dealing with the civil rights movement
with varied success and sometimes lack there of. Just because a film doesn't get made doesn't mean people are not ready to hear the truth. The truth is there have been many films made on the issue and at this point nobody is willing to risk the millions to make it. It's simply economics.
