We, the traders, cerate the data that generates real world revenue for HSX. They want this data to be as accurate as possible! What does that mean? Getting us, the community that drives prices of movies, as much accurate data on which to make our decisions. Hence, the change to Saturday halt. Yes, you still have some surprises, but adjusts are more than likely to be smaller.

Ā

They would probably never admit it, but HSX does not want the huge adjusts that trades so crave. It is a sign of an inefficient market. It makes/costs you more fake H$, but it costs HSX real bucks.

Movies likte TMNT1 (or his box office) are the reason why a earlier halt time (or the old halt time) whould be much more fun!! billy Aug 09, 08:02

exactly, I'm not sure why it was changed from Friday 5pm est. {nm} AgentEvil Aug 09, 08:05

To get more people to visit the site on Saturdays. {nm} DTravel Aug 09, 10:30

I would beg to differ. They want accurate data. The thought is that Saturday halt will give them better info. {nm} ndmaster Aug 09, 22:34

thats what .ow is for... {nm} Oleg Max Aug 09, 08:18

Tho the .ows are only 1/2.7th as exciting as moviestocks {nm} islander Aug 09, 08:21

true, but that's plenty of excitement for me. I very often don't play them at all. To make it to the top, one needs to invest into a sure Oleg Max Aug 09, 08:26

Agreed Oleg! gordon06 Aug 09, 08:32

Suggestion... a button for ADVANCED (fri. cutoff) play. Let the port(player) decide. {nm} ryeontherocks Aug 09, 08:41

that would be interesting. people that opted for a cut off would be at disadvantage if they bet the wrong way vs. those who can trade still {nm} Oleg Max Aug 09, 08:57

...and you can change from Advanced to Standard play only once a month, if you so choose. {nm} ryeontherocks Aug 09, 09:03

Totally Agree! I just returned after a good 5-7 year hiatus. I'm okay with the no free commission time, but miss the old halt. {nm} JRAVENTERPRISE Aug 09, 09:57

Please go back to old halt time...otherwise what's the point??? {nm} Mealticket Aug 09, 11:38

I honestly don't get it. People had been away from the game for years, then come back for a weekend and ask for changes? Oleg Max Aug 09, 12:05

HSX is the "New Coke"? Meh, whatever... just make me feel like a bigshot, I'm fine either way {nm} JustaGuy Aug 09, 12:39

Play the game since 16 years, may i ask for changes?? billy Aug 09, 13:19

Was that comment directed towards me? Nowhere have I asked for any changes. I simply said I miss the old halt time. Geez {nm} JRAVENTERPRISE Aug 09, 17:33

I'm guessing it's directed at the guy who actually asked for change. {nm} RogerMore Aug 09, 18:30
