and it's certainly possible to be funny without being cruel, but I'd hate to live in a world were all comedians censored themselves because they were worried about hurting someone's feelings.

There's nothing polite about the way Stephen Colbert has been parodying Bill O'Reilly for the past ten years, and there was nothing politically correct about The Life Of Brian, but the world is a much funnier place because those comedians, and others, weren't afraid to go for the jugular.

I genuinely thought it was Robin Wright and they had made a **** up. I had a nice arguement with the wife over the error. {nm} TheMackenzie Oct 22, 03:17

Apparentlyit's politically incorrect to comment on bad plastic surgery because it's unfair that actresses feel pressure to look younger leo21 Oct 22, 03:35

90% of the time (including this time) "politically correct" can be replaced with "polite" without losing any meaning. RogerMore Oct 22, 06:21

Comedy would not exist if everyone had that attitude JohnErleVan Oct 22, 07:06
