It's essentially a screening where it's okay if the kids are talking, singing along, dancing, whatever.

Many parents wouldn't take children who are going to be disruptive to a movie theater or have kids who are sensative to the loud sounds and the lights. These types of showings are designed to appeal to a group of people who wouldn't be able to go to movie theaters otherwise.
