The trailer isn't that bad. It's a little flat in spots, but I just don't see how anyone thinks its bad unless they came into the party already hating the idea. The vocal internet crowd creating the bad buzz falls into that area. I get the impression that some of them are just piling on because it's the cool thing to do. A movie with bad buzz and bad marketing is dead. This one has bad buzz and mediocre markting so far. With the already existing name-recognition of the franchise, that combo may inspire "I have to see it for myself/it can't really be that bad" type business, like say BvS opening weekend or for a more historical example, the king of pre-release bad buzz - Waterworld ($175M inflation adjusted total)
