about it. Here's my issue with DC development...The Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and the Flash should have had stand alone films first. They should have built up to the Justice League in a natural story arc. Every super hero movie that has failed for me has had reduced character development either for it's protagonists or villains. I call out the iterations of Spider-man with multiple villains as the most egregious offenders. With those sequels...it was like the idea was...ok, we gotta have more villains...no development of who they are so we either feel for them or hate them all the more.
I find the Marvel development to follow the way comic books were written and those books were pretty successful so now to use that style with movies makes sense and money. DC could easily do their own thing but they have no patience it seems. Their movies are decent but not put together well at times. You know how it is...two studios have the same story but different scripts and a lotta times both flicks are good but one is always viewed as better and that gets magnified by the comparison.
When comic book movies stumble, something will take their place. The whole Lord Of the Rings, the Potter phenomenon ran out and Dystopia took its place briefly...now we are in the golden age of Comics. I wonder what becomes popular next...the uncovering of scandal?
