Movie theaters shut down when Covid-19 cases were topping 20,000 a day in March. Now, they are trying to reopen when cases are over 60,000 a day.

and you have to think there will need to be some kind of badge or proof-of-vaccination validation put in place across all industries

Pickle Rick, that tweet says AstraZeneca pledged 2B doses this year. Not true. They have secured capacity to produce 2B over next 12 months.

There was such as lack of tests back in March, it's unfair to compare positive tests today to the number back then.

That is wrong. Postivity rate is going up with more testing, not down. Hospitalization is also going, and soon death will follow.

This is just Texas but deaths yesterday were 174. Previous high was 129. 10,632 hospitalizations statewide (new high)

Positivity rate is going up as people are testing who have COVID-19 and not the flu. Those who are exposed are now testing.
