They could try and get life rights to the female inventor and do a he said/she said approach, but being a Searchlight title with a first time feature director....its doubtful they could even afford it. Or they could also add additional scenes that paint Montanez as a "story teller" and Big Fish it, but again, first time director and that it seems the real inventor is a woman, not a great look.
