some concerns about the new halting time...
With this upcoming change...
1. Is there even a reason for halting at all?
2. Halting at 6pm Saturday will no longer yield results for the experienced researcher/trader.
3. The game becomes less competitive.
4. The excitement of going against the grain and guessing correct/incorrect will be gone (that is what made this game fun for me and many others).
This change is an aggressive one. For the last two years I have bought stocks, longed/shorted them long term and played the openers. Because I get about 80% of the openers right I have been able to maintain and progress with that trading style. It hasn't been necessary for me to trade starbonds and be here 24/7 to move forward. I don't move as fast as others, but I still move forward.
Unless I begin trading more the new halt time will put a stop to that. I understand wanting the activity on Saturdays, but I would like to voice my opinion that I am not in favor for moving the halt time. That is a HUGE part of the fun of this game for me.
Regardless of this change, glad to see HSX is shaking the tree a bit.
