Time: 4:20pm (obvious drug joke coming soon)
Venue: Michigan
Ticket: $7
46 butts (no idea on capacity; a third full? Of the last 11 Friday matinees at this theater, this is the most people I've counted) One dad brought his 5 or 6 year old boy; left 5 minutes in. dumba** ;)
Concessions: Medium Pepsi $4.25
Trailers: Limitless, Sucker Punch (first time I have seen this actually; looks like a hot mess. I'll still be there though), Hanna (was the newest trailer, not as effective as the first, imo), Priest (seen this so many times; it's awful and runs for an eternity), Pirates 4 (looks so played out), Super 8, Bad Teacher (audience loved Cam getting dodgeballed), Conan (first time seeing it; wholly cheeseball! "I live, I love, I slay, and I am contented" or something. ha!)
Movie: Gotta agree with lobo, lots of excitement, Eckhart is credible, and Bay prolly does wish he could make this. Yes, lacking in iconicness (no ID4 White House blows up type scenes) and the one that really could have been (that first shot of the aliens coming out of the water) was hampered by the budget (i.e. they went the fuzzy-its-on-tv route). Thankfully, almost no stupidity (all the actions taken feel legit)
B+.
