There are countless temptations for me every day in countless areas of life, just as there are countless temptations for you every day. I am not in the slightest attracted to someone of the opposite sex. The very thought of it disgusts me. I was simply trying to illustrate (from your response, I realise that I illustrated poorly) that sexual attraction is a choice, NOT a medical condition or a genetic thing. Every person chooses either consciously or subconsciously to become attracted to one sex or the other and then follows through with an action. 100% of homosexuals choose to be attracted to the same sex. The fact that people have left homosexuality behind and led perfectly normal lives, never once being attracted to someone of the same sex again, is testament to this fact. If they were truly born that way, they would never be able to escape being a homosexual and being attracted to people of the opposite sex. Therefore your point is invalid.
With regards to the XQ28 research, there have been other experiments done that dispute the claims made by Hamer that it causes people to be born homosexual. Another reason why I am skeptical is due to the fact that quite a few scientists in this day and age deliberately withhold data from their analysis and publish fraudulent findings with the intent of furthering some kind of agenda. (The "ClimateGate" emails reveal a recent example that was perpetuated by many scientists over the course of quite a few years over a few different tests.) You may think that I'm being unreasonable by not immediately believing and accuse me of being ignorant and a bigot, but I've learned that in this day and age, anything that's usually pushed by the mainstream media has some kind of agenda attached to it. There has been the rare instance where that's not the case, but because of that I've been on my guard about things like this and don't just accept something because a scientist says so.
When you replied to my message asking about screenwriting I didn't really know how to respond other than to thank you for the information that you gave me and the books that you recommended I read. I thought that would have sufficed as an answer. If you expected something more than that, then I'm sorry I didn't do that.
Why do you accuse me of bigotry when it's perfectly clear from Scripture that if you don't line up with God's standards you're the one that has to change? I am simply adhering to the moral standards that He has shown in His Word. Why aren't you accusing Him of being a bigot? When Jesus walked the earth, He didn't tolerate anyone's views if they didn't line up with God's Word. He showed them love and compassion, but not once did He budge from His views, and many times He told them to repent, not just of their actions, but even their thoughts. That's not being a bigot. That's holding fast to your convictions. What you're really saying isn't that I'm a bigot, you're saying that I'm being intolerant of any viewpoint other than the one found in Scripture, and you're saying that because you think that that is unreasonable. By you calling me intolerant, you're then being intolerant of my intolerance, which then, unfortunately, makes you a hypocrite.
