1st, not the point. US, Zimbabwe, wherever, media needs to stop glorifying it. 2nd, you're wrong. 1,423 mass shootings outside US in 15 yrs.

According to the Crime Prevention Research Center, America is the 56th highest per capita in its rate of attacks and 61st in mass public shooting murder rate. Norway, Finland, Switzerland and Russia all have at least 45 percent higher rates of murder from mass public shootings than the United States.

So, actually lack of news coverage elsewhere is probably why you are so wrong.  It's difficult to accumulate information in foreign nations.

By the way, I am in no way a gun advocate in any way, shape, or form.  I just believe your incessant posting of fictional, incorrect, and misleading information needs to be exposed with facts.

another day, another school shooting courtesy of the NRA.. 1 dead 8 wounded at STEM school in Colorado professor zovek May 08, 07:57

And as always, the media raced to glorify the shooter(s) by printing their name, picture, and story as quickly as possible. {nm} PhoneHome May 08, 09:00

when it (extremely rarely) happens outside the US, they print their names and pictures too. the reason it remains extremely rare is b/c guns {nm} professor zovek May 08, 09:36

the fact is you're wrong. professor zovek May 08, 11:20

Wrong again! You should read prior to posting. The Lankford data your CNN article cites self-admits that it strongly under-counts foreign PhoneHome May 08, 11:47

But again off point. The media has the right to report anything they want. But profit motive drives their decisions, not safety, morals, or PhoneHome May 08, 12:15

Totally on board with this {nm} sentinel423 May 08, 13:02

Blaming an inanimate object for this tragedy is just idiotic {nm} IM Deplorable May 08, 10:04

Don't you have to subtract the killings stopped by someone with a gun? Seriously, isn't what matters is intentional murder rate? sentinel423 May 08, 13:02

does stopping one shooter bring any of the already dead victims back to life? {nm} professor zovek May 08, 13:35

Did you address murder rate worldwide? And no, stopping a shooter today does not resurrect dead people. Does that make stopping a shooter forlorne May 09, 07:28

it's not a zero sum game. you don't get all the dead ones back just because another shooting might be stopped. there will still be more dead professor zovek May 09, 09:14

Math is hard. If more deaths are prevented by stopping shooters than deaths caused by shooters, that is a net forlorne May 14, 05:15
