Since I have avidly daytraded the past 3 years or so, I have come to theorize on the mechanics of some of the trading here.

Do you realize that the site just eliminated "Commission Free" trading? This used to occur on Saturdays and Sundays. This change has caused many folks to stop being daytraders and become long term traders. You look at a stock like Goose...and it is wrapped with Freestyle Releasing as its distributor. It has no release date. It is a dead duck...errr goose. Traders are probably shorting it like you are. You can't blame me...but I am an east coast trader that is up at 2:45a sometimes trading. I didn't touch Goose but there are doubtless others that are bored and trading at that time.

I have guessed at how many traders it takes to move a stock...but you know what...here is something you did not think of...Movement is not always initiated by traders. In fact...on any given quarter hour stocks move because an aparatus nicknamed "The Twins" AUTOMATICALLY initiates movement. And I believe it does so on stocks that see LITTLE movement. I would think it sends them in the prevailing direction, in this case, down. Why do the Twins exist? To keep the market from stagnating when no one is trading. There are days when no one would make a trade or enough trades on enough varying stocks, so the market would not move.

Also, people wonder why you suddenly have stocks that BOLT up or down. This has to be in response to the "Advanced Trader". Absent traders have set up future trades that execute all at the same time when a stock hits a price.

My guess...it is only a guess...you executed your trade at the same time the Twins moved the stock. You lost $6500 of potential profit for a .13 cent movement. The commission on a .14 cent stock is minimal. You really didn't lose that much even on a $2,000,000 account.

Look, I have been there scrounging for every $6500 movement on a stock below $10 value. The % return there is phenomenal. I have taken my little $2m and grown it to over $2b. I played a year to date port starting at $2m and growing to excess of $500m in a year. I don't live in my lofty Billionaire Tower suite thinking losses like yours are a pittance. The reason I grew my ports so quickly is I remember how to count every silly fake dollar I make. But, likewise, I know that sometimes, I am going to take losses. I move on and win next time. If I miss seven openers in a row (never happened but just say if...lol...now I will, ugh, jinx!), tha tdoesn't keep me from playing openers. If I get screwed playing a penny stock a few times...doesn't stop me from playing them. Because more times than not, my strategies make me money despite the once out of five times I get screwed. This game is not Wall Street...it is not any other gaming system...it is HSX and everyone has the same structure to work in. Anyone can make $2b 3 years. It just takes time, sound game strategy, knowledge of movie releasing and unfortunately some luck.
