When I’ve been changing position on random stocks the value in the Amount column can change by hundreds of thousands or millions even though the price of the stock only moves by a few cents.
For example on 03/26/20 I flipped ECNH2 from short to long. It was trading at $2.03 and the value in the Amount column was -$205,030.00 for the Buy trade. But then the value in the Amount Column for the Cover trade was $547,900.00 even though the stock price had only gone up to $2.10.
Earlier on the same day I flipped THOR4 from short to long. It was trading at $205.51 for the Buy trade and the value in the Amount column was -$20,756,510.00. It was still at $205.51 for the Cover trade but now the value in the Amount column was $24,447,490.00.
Does this mean it cost roughly $200,000.00 in comission fees to Buy THOR4 but then cost roughly $240,000.00 in commission fees to cover it?
