I may be new-er to the game, but I am no fool... Nor am I incapable of seeing the attack of those who would like to maintain status quo. The paradigm of change is a difficult concept for some, perhaps as yourself, but it will help improve the game - perhaps even graduate it to another level altogether. Tradition is the biggest wall to advancement. If you would like to keep your status quo, fill your boots. However, I can tell you that I am not usually the first to comment on things; thus, since I have commented, how many "newbie" players come, played, enjoyed, but were subsequently turned off by the immaturity and lack of even treatment in the forums, and left. Lord knows I am just about done watching it.
Up to you guys. What's important to you? The maintenance of the ability to hack and slash and throw daggers in the forums? Oh wait, that'll just be the long timers who have that ability, as someone like me would get their "post removed" if I attacked someone who's been here for longer and made a name, indeed friends, for themselves... Let's try that shall we? Why don't I start lambasting every post I disagree with? How long do you think it would take before I got blocked?
Like I said before, it's an observation as to uncivilized, unnecessary, and unsportsmanlike conduct - and uneven application of some kind of unprinted code of conduct. But, if you decide Neanderthal-ically to allow it, then allow it across the board; because there are a few people I wouldn't mind saying a thing or two to. NEWB's are the future of HSX! Without them, HSX has no growth potential. I would save my sarcasm for the less equipped and restrict this "aggression masked by attempt at humor" for issues that make a difference.
Your call. I am but a simple member - and aren't we all? Let's attract and KEEP new players, shall we? Not all of us want to have degraded forums apparently populated with and frequented by 12 year olds.
