With the Veterans Day public holiday on Friday, Doctor Strange [DRSTR] declined just 49% from its opening weekend to an estimated $43.0 million to remain in first place at the weekend box office. The Marvel sorcerer has whipped up $153.0 million after 10 days.
Trolls [TROLL] stayed in second place with $35.1 million, down just 25% from its debut. The animated toys has rasied $94.0 million.
Arrival [SOYLF] opened at the third spot with $24.0 million. The sci-fi film attracted an audience that was 52% male and 85% over the age of 25.
Almost Christmas [MEYER] arrived in fourth place with $15.7 million. The turnout was 71% African-Americans,56% female and 60% over the age of 25.
Hacksaw Ridge [HSRDG] finished fifth at $10.8 million, off just 29% from its opening. The war film has banked $32.3 million.
Shut In [SHUTN] earned $3.7 million to open seventh overall.
