Universal and Blumhouse resurrected another horror franchise as The Exorcist: Believer [TEXOR] grossed an estimated $27.2 million to top the weekend box office. However, the horror sequel was poorly received by moviegoers who graded it C on CinemaScore.
Last weekend’s top dog, Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie [PAWP2] finished second with $11.75 million, down 48% from its debut to bring its total to $38.87 million.
Saw X [SAW10] took the third spot with $8.15 million, down 55% from opening weekend for a sum of $32.55 million after 10 days.
The Creator [TRULV] fell 57% in its second weekend to $6.07 million. The sci-fi film stands at $24.93 million.
The Blind netted another $3.13 million to bring its second weekend total to $10.49 million.
A Haunting in Venice [HVENC] earned $2.73 million in its fourth outing, bringing its total across $35.65 million.
The Nun II grossed another $2.58 million to take its 5th weekend total to $81.06 million.
Dumb Money [DUMBM] deposited $2.15 million in its second weekend of wide release. The total sits at $10.64 million.
Expend4bles [XPND4] brought in $1.03 million to advance its total to $15.37 million after 3 weekends.
