Since I had a long post already written before I read all these comments I'm going to go ahead and include it but I'm beginning to think you're a troll and so not sure if I will post further
If you've never been affected by a star bond adjust you got very very lucky or hold very few starbonds.
Either you've been incredibly lucky in your trades to have made this much money when you obviously don't know how to play HSX and it's finally catching up to you or I'm beginning to think your either a troll lying to us or having a laugh at our responses
So here's the post that I wrote before I read all the responses above
When HSX dropped the movie adjusts, playing the players became much more prominent and that doesn't follow logic and reason.
Yes I hate this aspect too but it's a part of HSX so learn to live with it or quit playing.
IELBA just had a starbond adjust on Tues. If you don't follow that (or know how starbonds work) then you shouldn't hold them. But you should learn how they work because it's a great source of income (especially when the market is crashing otherwise). If you want help with this ask specifically and I'll try to help.
How you move up or down in rank is not necessarily an indication of how well you are doing. Players above or below you may not be playing at all or sporadically or only in the summer, etc. So your rank change could have nothing to do with your playing ability. Follow how much money you are actually making to gauge your success.
If you need to compare yourself to other players, look thru the leader board for players around you that are currently playing and add them to your Watchlist.
Don't compare HSX to real life trading. People are playing with fake money so may often play differntly than they would they would if the losses were real.
It's the end of summer, many traders that play heavily in the summer sell(or cover) alot of their stocks regardless of profitability and quit playing on a regular basis. With the poor movie grosses in August this may have started earlier than the usual September swoon.
You can get out too if you follow the stocks close enough to know when to get back in or you can just ride it out knowing that most of them will go back up later.
Day trading can causes stocks to go up and with no reason (other than trying to make oney). Look on Kaigee.com or site http://theun4gven.com/hsx/daily.php?sec=XXXXX
replace XXXX with you stock of choice (only works for current movie stocks not bonds or derivatives). If the stock starts dropping after reset then it's reset trading and then in the morning day traders often pile on and the stock moves more. Trying to get in on these movements when you aren't are good day trader can just make you lose more money when you buy or sell at the wrong time (plus lose of commission).
And lastly, people aren't really going to want to help you when you constantly blame losses on manipulation. If you can't figure out why you are losing money (or not making as much as previously), then ask that question. Are losing alot on a few stocks, or a little on a lot of stocks? Sometimes there is no reason (other traders don't know what they are doing or hey it's fake money so people may just being have fun). And sometimes there is a reason you are missing (IELBA star bond).

Idris Elba next 2 starbond adjusts will take him from his current price of 139.93 to 85.80. took 5 seconds to look that up at kaigee.com.

the reason your rank is changing while you aren't losing money os other players are passing you in net worth

An observation. $500 earned in interest is nothing to brag about. You would get twice that from a $0.01 price change in an all-in MS.
