LD entertainment has unleashed the official trailer for the horror The Cursed [8FSLV], previously titled Eight For Silver. Boyd Holbrook, Kelly Reilly and Alistair Petrie star in the werewolf film written and directed by Sean Ellis. The Cursed opens in theaters on February 18th.

With two new films you probably didn’t even know opening wide this weekend, Spider-Man: No Way Home [SPID8.BW] reascended to the top spot with $14.1 million in its sixth weekend. The webcrawler has amassed $721.0 million.
Last weekend's champ Scream [SCRM5] dropped 59% from its opening to $12.4 million and second place. The horror sequel has earned $51.3 million.
Sing 2 [SING2] remained third overall with $5.7 million for a sum of $128.4 million.
Two films open in wide release this weekend, but neither is expected to create a ripple at the box office. Scream [SCRM5] hopes to retain the top spot, but the horror sequel will likely drop more than 55% in its second weekend to $13 million.
Spider-Man: No Way Home [SPID8.BW] remains a juggernaut heading into its sixth week and should Scream falter, could retake first place at around $12.5 million.

Roadside Attractions has released the official trailer for the thriller The Desperate Hour [LAKWD], which was previously known as Lakewood. Naomi Watts [NWATT] stars as a recently widowed mother with a young daughter and teenage son. While on a jog in the woods, her town is thrown into chaos by a shooting at her son's school. Miles away, she races against time to save her son. Unspooling in real time, The Desperate Hour arrives in theaters on February 25th.
The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend crowned a new box office champion as Scream [SCRM5] grossed an estimated $34.0 million over the 4-day period. The horror sequel attracted an audience that was 53% males and 58% over the age of 25.
Spider-Man: No Way Home [SPID8] was dethroned to second with $25.0 million over the long weekend. The 4-weekend haul of $703.0 million surpassed Black Panther for fourth highest domestic total of all times.
After a couple of slow weekends to start 2022 for new releases, business looks to pick up over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend. The ghostface killer is back in Scream [SCRM5], the fifth film in the R-rated horror franchise. Neve Campbell reprises her lead role in a sequel that doesn’t want to be called a sequel. A24 has released the official trailer for the horror film X [XTW] written and directed by Ti West. Mia Goth, Jenna Ortega, Martin Henderson, Brittany Snow, and Scott Mescudi star in the slasher feature. X hits theaters on March 18th.

The band moves into a historic mansion to record their much anticipated 10th album. However, Dave Grohl finds himself haunted by supernatural forces that threaten the band and their work. GKIDS has revealed the first 3-minutes opening scene of the animated Belle [BELE], which introduces the virtual world known as "U". Directed by Mamoru Hosoda, Belle will have IMAX Special Preview showings on January 12th before opening wide in 1300+ theaters on January 14th.
