+1. The last movie I saw in theaters was Spider-Man: FFH. After that, had little desire to visit the theaters.

A few reasons why: 1. Only takes one person to ruin the experience (eating popcorn with their mouths open, cell phones ringing, idle chattering). 2. While I like having reserved seats, for the big movies you would have to get your tickets sometimes 2-3 weeks ahead of time, for myself I go to the movies depending on my energy levels, if one day I'm tired, not sure I want to sit through a 2.5 hour+ movie. 3. I have an extensive collection (not to mention the content on YouTube, Disney+, etc), so plenty to watch and can wait the 3-4 months until it's released on home video.

Even me, a DC fan, skipped Joker and Birds of Prey. Was patient enough and checked them out when they were released for home viewing.

Seems like anyone and everyone is jumping on the bandwagon to get rid of theatrical. It amazes me. goodvibe61 Nov 19, 18:36
